Taal Safdie Elevated to American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) College of Fellows

It is with great excitement that we share that Taal Safdie, Founding Partner of Safdie Rabines Architects, has been elevated to the American Institute of Architects’ prestigious College of Fellows. Received by only 3% of AIA members throughout the United States, Fellowship is the AIA’s highest membership honor and a reflection of exceptional work and significant contributions to the field.

Taal, one of only two San Diego architects to receive this distinction this year, is celebrated by the AIA for her “profound capacity to capture the essence of a site” in addition to creating designs that “fuse nature and structure with the goal of cultivating community and enriching people’s lives.”*

Our team is incredibly happy for SRA’s founding partners, Taal and Ricardo, who have collaborated closely on every Safdie Rabines Architects’ project since our firm was established in 1993.
